LABC Consult offers SBEM services for all new build commercial developments using SBEM or other approved software and in accordance with the latest 2010 Building Control Compliance requirements for all UK commercial buildings. The SBEM is used to determine the energy performance of non-domestic buildings. SBEM estimates the monthly energy use and carbon emissions of a building and is one of the tools used to prove compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations.

SBEM is an assessment tool; however we regularly work in conjunction with design teams to develop building specifications, heating and lighting strategies.

We have made our service as efficient and user friendly as possible. Once you provide us with building drawings and specifications we will be able to produce a fully inclusive quotation to demonstrate Building Regulation compliance.

All of our SBEM calculations utilise Building Research Establishment (BRE) approved software and LABC Consult is accredited to produce Energy Performance Certificates on completion.

How much does it cost for an SBEM?
Every project is different and therefore we assess each project individually. Simply email (using PDF format) or post drawings of your building along with construction details, heating and hot water installations and we will contact you with a fully inclusive quotation within 48 hours.

Once we have all the details we require, we aim to supply a BRUKL certificate to show compliance with Approved Document L2A within 10 working days.
